Christmas 2009

Certainly the loudest Christmas of my life. Still, no worries. California is pretty good to me. I'm only here for a couple more days, so I hope they're amazing!

Some notes to self:
  • Buy kinder eggs
  • Buy merlot
  • Also buy other things
And: How many times is it possible to be dealt Q8o in a row?
Answer: a lot.

Next time: some home recipes?

Also eventually relevant Russia stuff.

Finals finals finals

So, here I am, the night before my last final, drinking champagne/mimosas. I feel like I've got this last final (appropriately enough, Imperial Russia) pretty much ready to go. I'm a little nervous about the Dmytryshyn paragraphs, but only because I don't know how obscure they'll be. I'm sure I'll be fine though.

And tomorrow I go home. Crazy I guess. I'll get home, unpack, repack, then try to hang out with some friends for the night before Sun Country Airlines whisks me away to California and my sister. That should be pretty awesome too, though I'm worried that my cousins will be expecting presents. I would be happy to oblige, but I frankly don't know what they want.

Well, here's to one more semester down at Gustavus.

What this blog is about

Hey there world. My Name is Evan Larkin. I'm a Philosophy/Russian Studies major at Gustavus Adolphus College, but in the spring semester of 2010 I'll be studying abroad in St. Petersburg, and that's why I'm starting this blog. I'm going to document some things, i.e. my life, so that anyone may read and/or enjoy. I can't promise that I'm only going to focus on Russia, but I'll try to update consistently.

I don't leave until January 26th, so until then, I guess I'll just update with anything that pops into my mind that I want to share.
